Fine Art Portrait of Ian

What a great time we had in the studio this week!

I have been wanting to start offering Fine Art Child Portraits here at our photography studio.  I bought an awesome new backdrop and asked my son to help me. What he didn’t know is that I just REALLY wanted a great photo of him before he leaves Jr. High.  This is not a stage that parents usually photograph. I can’t imagine NOT having this gorgeous photo of him!

So, here is Ian!  He did a fantastic job, which is NOT typical of photographers children.  lol

He has like THE most Awesome Red Hair ever!!! I wanted to document it before the next haircut comes soon.  It is so important to document the different stages of their lives.  One day you will look back and say “Remember when he wanted long hair?”  I’m so glad we did as just yesterday he said during his track meet, “I NEED a haircut!”   That’s what I’ve been saying son!  🙂 So sometime this week this stage of his life will move to the next.

I absolutely LOVE this technique. This is reminiscent of oil paintings way back in Rembrandt days.  It is so classic!  This will be gorgeous in a framed canvas which I will have made for our home, but this portrait will also be featured in my new line of folio boxes.  They are handcrafted, premium wood window boxes that are simply, Gorgeous.  I am ordering a few this week and can’t wait to do an unboxing video to show all of you.

If you are looking for child fine art portraiture, look no further!  These portraits will be cherished by your family for generations to come.  These sessions will be offered in our studio located here in Quitman, Texas.
